At 1847 Hours on Saturday, February 6th, The Manorville FD was activated to respond to a multi car motor vehicle accident on the West bound LIE between Exit 70 & 69. Manorville's 2 assistant chiefs arrived on the scene within 30 seconds of each other, upon arrival Assistant Chief CEO advised incoming units of a 3 car MVA, with 2 persons trapped in one of the 3 cars. Engine 5-16-2 and Ladder 5-16-4 where first on scene, with Heavy Rescue 5-16-1 right behind. Crew from engine 2 started to work to extract the 2 trapped persons. Additional crews attended to the other 2 vehicles involved. The LIE was shut down as the 3 cars where spread out form the left shoulder, left lane and right shoulder. All Manorville units where cleared from the scene @ 1935 Hours.
