On Thursday February 4th @ 1940 Hours, Manorville FD was activated to respond to a Vehicle Fire on the West Bound LIE Exit 70 Off Ramp. Assistant Chief Brown was first on scene and reported a working vehicle fire. Tanker 5-16-9 form HQ was first due and Engine 5-16-2 from Station 2 was 2nd due right behind 5-16-9. Both crews pulled 1 3/4" hand lines and proceeded to extinguish the fire. Engine 5-16-7 from HQ was 3rd due and stood by incase of need. All units where cleared @ 2010 hours and returned back to quarters to fill the trucks back up with water and have them ready for the next alarm.
