Who can join...

The Manorville Fire Department Junior Fire Fighter Program is a program within the Manorville Fire Department. Junior Firefighter members can be ages 14 -18 year olds and are co-ed. You need to be at least 14 years of age in order to apply to our program. Our Junior Fire Fighter program is geared towards training youths to be ready to be able to join into the ranks of our Fire Department when they turn 18 years of age. We perform the same training as the department does, with 2 exceptions.. Juniors are not allowed to be in live fire situations and are not allowed to handle saws. Our program is a mirror of what our probahbtionary firemen need to complete in order to be full Class "A" firemen. You also need to live within the Manorville Fire District Protection area, or can reside just outside of our district lines. We will review this once you apply to ensure you live in the proper jursidiction. If you are under 18 years of age, parental permission is necessary and we will arrange to meet you in person, with your parent or parents to further review our program with you. The Department requires each Junior to submit a copy of thier doctors physcial in order to particiapte in our program.
