Manorville FD Responds to a Garage Fire

On Sunday, May 16th at 1:31 AM, Manorville FD was activated to respond to a reported Garage Fire on Frontier Trail. Upon arrival of Assistant Chief Rosario, he informed all incoming units of a working Structure Fire. The Fire started in the attached garage and spread to the 2nd floor of the home and to the additional cars in the driveway. Manorville Tanker unit 5-16-9 was first on scene as they had just arrived back at our HQ from a Mutual aid for a mulch fire in Riverhead. The crew of 5-16-9 first attacked the fire, then engine 5-16-2 arrived and assisted with additional handlines. Additional engine 5-16-7 and ladder 5-16-6 arrived to help. Mutual aid was also called in from Center Moriches, East Moriches, Eastport, Ridge, and Wading River. All units where released back into service at 3:47 AM.
