On Monday April 19th @ 1427 Hours, The Manorville FD was activated to respond to a Motor Vehicle Accident with a reported entrapment. Heavy Rescue Unit 5-16-1 was first on scene, followed by Engine 5-16-2. The 2 vehicle accident caused a Box Truck to hit head on into a tree, trapping the driver. The crew of 5-16-1 used the extrication tools to remove the drivers door, then performed a Dash Displacement in order to be able to extract the driver from the vehicle. Manorville Community Ambulance treated the patient and brought him to the Hospital. SCPD had aviation on standby if it was needed, but fortunately, Aviation was not needed. All Manorville units where released back in service @ 1458 Hours.
