At 0650 Hours on Thursday, February 11th, The Manorville FD was activated to respond to a motor vehicle accident on the East bound LIE between Exit 68 & 69. That Thursday morning, was a cold and icy morning. 2 of Manorville's Chiefs arrived on the scene within 30 seconds of each other. One pickup drive was headed towards the West Hampton area, while driving east on the LIE, his vehicle came across any icy
patch and just lost control and started spinning around and crossing over lanes on the west bound LIE. While this took place, another pick up truck was unable to avoid the spinning pick up, and T-Boned the side of the pick up. Both pickups where in the snow on the right shoulder of the LIE. Neither driver was injured. All units where cleared and back in service at 0829 Hours.
