Manorville FD responds to a Motor Vehicle Accident on County Road 111

At 0912 Hours on Saturday November 7th, The Manorville FD was activated to respond to a report of a Motor Vehicle Accident on County Road 111, near Polistena Blvd. Upon arrival, Assistant Chief Ceo advised the incoming units of a confirmed "Pin Job". Manorville Station 2 was first on scene with their rescue pumper and immediately started to get the extrication tools in action, along with a charged hoseline. The crews needed chainsaws as the vehicle was in heavy brush in the median of County Road 111. MFD Heavy Rescue 5-16-1 from HQ, was 2nd due and brought the Cutters to assist in the extrication, followed by engine 5-16-3 from Station 1. There where 2 victims, 1 was already out of the vehicle, but the driver was trapped and required extrication and the SCPD Medivac for serious inquires. The victim was removed and was stabilized in the Manorville Community Ambulance, until the SCPD Helicopter arrived. The victim was transferred to the helicopter, then flow to Stony Brook Hospital. All units where released and back in service @ 1010 hours.
