On Sunday, December 22nd @ 11:58 AM, The Manorville Fire Department was activated to respond to a reported FedEx Truck on Fire in front of 33 Bailey Lane in Hunters Run East. Manorville Engine 5-16-7 was first due and arrived to a fully involved FedEx Truck burning in the middle of the road. Tanker 5-16-9 was 2nd due. The crew from 5-16-7 quickly pulled and 1" 3/4 line to start to extinguish the fire. Tanker 5-16-9, which carries 3000 gallons of water, connect to 5-16-7 to provide additional water. The engine kept burning as the engine block contained magnesium. The FedEx truck was out delivering packages, most of which where for Christmas presents. Fortunately, the majority of the deliveries where already delivered, so the truck was mostly empty. All units where back in service by 12:54pm.
