On Tuesday October 15th, at 22:14 Hours, Manorville FD was activated to respond to a reported Structure Fire on Pondway in Pine Hills Golf Course. Manorville Fire Dept. 1st Assistant Chief Rosario was first on scene and reported a a working Shed Fire with visible Fire coming out the roof. This night was a drill night for MFD, and members where just leavening to go home, when the call came in. Engine 5-16-7 was first due, with Tanker 5-16-9 right behind them. Crews from Engine 7 pulled hose lines and used the K12 Partner Saw to start cutting the metal garage doors. The Shed was a maintenance and storage shed for the golf courses lawn mowers. Ladder 4 raised the Aerial to the roof, and Engine 2 stretched 5" hose from the Hydrant to the and fed Ladder 4 and Tanker 9. The Fire was quickly extinguished and the MFD crews where all released @ 23:59 Hours. The Brookhaven Town Fire Marshall's Office was called to investigate.
