Manorville FD Responds to a Structure Fire

On Monday, February 27th, The Manorville Fire Dept. was activated @ 1359 Hours for a Reported Structure Fire. Manorville Assistant Chief 5-16-32 was first on scene and transmitted the 13-35 for a Working Structure Fire. Manorville Chief 5-16-30 was 2nd due and assumed command. Tanker 5-16-9 was the first engine on scene and established 2 hand lines, 1 for the exterior, 1 for the interior. Manorville Engine 3 was 2nd engine on scene and provided additional water and a 3rd line that East Moriches crews took to the 2nd floor. Manorville Engine 7 arrived and established a water supply from a hydrant up the road. 5-16-32 applied oxygen to 1 of 2 dogs that neighbors rescued from the rear door of the home. Mutual aid was provided by East Moriches FD, Eastport FD, and Ridge FD to stand by at Manorville HQ's in case of any additional alarms came in. Manorville Ambulance, East Moriches Ambulance were on scene in case of any injuries. Shirley Ambulance was on scene to provide rehab for the FD personnel. Brookhaven Fire Marshall and SCPD Arson where on scene to investigate the cause. After the Fire was extinguished, Manorville FD found the homeowners cat in the living room, behind the couch, the cat seemed to be just fine.
