Manorville FD Responds to Motor Vehicle Accident

On Sunday, January 15th at 1915 Hours, The Manorville FD was activated to respond to a reported motor vehicle accident on County Road 111 in front of Starbucks. The call was reported as a 2 Car MVA with entrapment. 2nd Assistant Chief Steel was 1st on scene and confirmed a 2 Car 1 MVA with 1 person trapped. Engine 5-16-2 was the first truck on scene and immediately started to stabilize the vehicle with the trapped victim. Engine 2 used the Jaws of Life and cutter to start to extricate the trapped victim. Heavy Rescue 1 arrived on scene and brought additional tools to help extricate. Engine 5-16-3 arrived on scene and manned a hose line and helped with speedy dry as fluids from the vehicle was all over the ground. Ambulances from Center Moriches, East Moriches and Wadding River where called as Manorville Ambulance was already out on 2 different alarms, but did arrive to help take additional injured from the 2nd vehicle involved. All units where cleared and returned back to service at 2008 Hours.
