On Sunday September 11th @ 2120 Hours, Manorville Fire was activated to respond to a reported Vehicle Fire on Northbound County Road 111 near Montauk Avenue. Engine 5-16-2 was first on scene and reported a confirmed working vehicle fire. Assistant Chief Rosario was 2nd on scene right behind Engine 2. The Crew of Engine 2 pulled the front bumper 1 3/4" to start the extinguishment. Ladder 5-16-4 closed the road to allow the crews to safely operate on the busy road. Engine 5-16-7 came in and fed additional water to Engine 2. Tanker 5-16-9 responded in with additional water, but it was not needed. All units where back in service @ 2211 Hours.
