Small Brush Fire in Manorville, Called in by SCPD Helicopter 3

At 17:25 Hours, The Manorville Fire Department was activated to respond to a reported brush fire off of Line Road and Grumman Blvd in Calverton. The call was reported by Suffolk County Police Helicopter # 3. Helicopter 3 stayed flying around the fire location until the Manorville Chiefs arrived on scene. At about 5:35AM, Manorville was activated for a Brush Fire, North of the Long Island Expressway, near Exit 69. Suffolk County Police reported visible smoke traveling across the Long Island Expressway with the South Bound Winds. On Saturday, June 6th @ 11:54 AM, the Manorville Fire Department was dispatched to a reported vehicle fire located on the West Bound Long Island Expressway between exit 69 and 68. 2nd Assistant Chief Chris Ceo was first on scene and reported a working Vehicle Fire. Tanker 5-16-9 was the first engine on scene and proceeded to extinguish the fire. All units returned back to service at 12:25 PM.... (Full Story & Photos)

On Mother's Day, Sunday, May 10th @ 2:11 PM - The Manorville FD was activated for a Brush Fire on Grumman Blvd. between Wading River Manor Road and Line Road. This was the fourth brush fire in the same area in the past 3 weeks. Upon arrival, The fire was discovered to be a small brush fire that was spreading due to the wind. On Tuesday, May 5th @ 12:19 PM - The Manorville FD was activated for a Brush Fire off of Schultz Road and Wading River Manor Road. This was the third brush fire in the same area for the 3rd time in 3 weeks. On Saturday, April 18th at 1552 Hours, The Manorville Fire Dept. was activated to respond to a reported Motor Vehicle Accident on Wading River Road near Chestnut Street. Upon arrival, the Manorville Chief's came upon a pick up truck that rear ended a dump truck. The driver of the pick up truck was taken to the hospital by Manorville Ambulance. On Thursday, April 16th @ 12:39 PM - The Manorville FD was activated for a Brush Fire off of Schultz Road, North of North Street. Upon arrival, The fire was discovered to be a large brush fire that was spreading due to the wind. Flames where approximately 4 feet high.
