Manorville FD - Ice/Cold Water Rescue Drill

On Monday at 1900 Hours, the Manorville Fire Department held it's annual Ice/Cold Water Rescue Drill. This year we changed our location and used the Sand Pits in Manorville of off South Street. All units assembled at the Sand Pits @ 1900 Hours. Ladder 5-16-4 was used for Scene Lighting above the water. Back to MVA's... Reported Overturned Truck at Exit 70

On Tuesday, February 23rd at 0413 hours, the Manorville FD was activated to respond to a Motor Vehicle Accident on the Eastbound Long Island Expressway at Exit 70. Assistant Chief Brown was first on scene and reported a Boar's head Delivery Truck was on it's side with 2 person trapped within the trucks cab. Manorville FD Responds to Reported Structure Fire

At 0327 Hours on Monday February 22nd, the Manorville FD was activated to respond to a reported Structure Fire at Tebbens Steel located at Calverton Enterprise Park with reported visible smoke by the 911 caller. Manorville FD responds to a another Reported Motor Vehicle Accident on the LIE

At 1847 Hours on Saturday, February 6th, The Manorville FD was activated to respond to a multi car motor vehicle accident on the West bound LIE between Exit 70 & 69. Manorville's 2 assistant chiefs arrived on the scene within 30 seconds of each other, upon arrival Assistant Chief CEO advised incoming units of a 3 car MVA, with 2 persons trapped in one of the 3 cars. While the ManorvilleFD crews just finished to fill their trucks from the previous vehicle fire, At 2023 hours, Suffolk County Dispatch activated Manorville for a reported over turn vehicle on the west bound Long Island Expressway between exit 70 and 69. Manorville FD responds to a Reported Vehicle Fire

On Thursday February 4th @ 1940 Hours, Manorville FD was activated to respond to a Vehicle Fire on the West Bound LIE Exit 70 Off Ramp. Assistant Chief Brown was first on scene and reported a working vehicle fire. Tanker 5-16-9 form HQ was first due and Engine 5-16-2 from Station 2 was 2nd due right behind 5-16-9.
